The village has many fine eating establishments, Public Houses and Hotels.

Walking and climbing are the main activities on offer, but there is also beck scrambling, mountain biking, horse riding and boating in the summer.

We have 3 churches - Church Of England, Methodist & Catholic and all visitors are very welcome.

Wordsworth & Beatrix Potter country is only a 15 minute drive away.

Kendal and Barrow-In-Furness, both with interesting histories, are our nearest large towns. Both are about 25miles away.

This is a beautiful and breathtaking part of the country, steeped in history and should be experienced in person.
